Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Complete the month end close process in a timely manner.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, and financial discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support the payroll process by ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
- Assist with tax filings, audits, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
- Prepare monthly sales tax returns.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field- equivalent experience of 5+ years in corporate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial audits and tax compliance.
- Knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory standards.
Working Conditions
- The Staff Accountant role is performed primarily in a professional office environment.
- This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, up to 8 hours per workday, while completing computer‑based accounting tasks.
- The role involves frequent use of computer screens, keyboards, calculators, and other standard office equipment needed for preparing financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting monthly close activities.
- Work requires sustained concentration, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a screen‑intensive setting.
- Must follow ergonomic and workplace safety guidelines, including maintaining a proper workstation setup and safely using office equipment.
