Position Summary
The Fulfillment Center Lead is responsible for operating the store as a high-performing fulfillment center while actively working in daily warehouse operations. This role oversees the driver(s) on staff, overseas/ executes all warehouse functions, and supports the sales teams to ensure fast, accurate, and reliable service to all customers.
The Fulfillment Center Lead sets the pace for productivity, organization, urgency, and customer service while ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Core Responsibilities
Store & Operations Leadership
- Operate the store as a fulfillment center focused on speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
- Oversee and direct the daily activities of the delivery driver(s)
- Prioritize daily workload based on customer needs and sales commitments
- Ensure the warehouse opens and closes in alignment with the business expectations each day.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized facility.
Warehouse & Fulfillment Duties
- Pick, pack, stage, and ship customer orders accurately and on time
- Load and verify outbound deliveries
- Receive inbound material and confirm accuracy in the system
- Maintain inventory organization and location accuracy
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory control processes
- Coordinate local deliveries and routing
Driver Oversight
- Assign daily delivery schedules and routes
- Ensure deliveries are accurate and completed on time
- Hold driver accountable for safety, professionalism, accuracy and customer service
- Ensure monitoring vehicle conditions meet company standards and basic maintenance needs
Sales Support
- Work closely with inside and outside sales to prioritize urgent orders
- Communicate order status, delays, or inventory issues proactively
- Conduct counter sales and customer pickups as needed
- Identify stocking needs based on customer demand
Daily Expectations
- Review open orders and delivery schedules at the start of each day
- Execute all warehouse duties with urgency and accuracy
- Ensure all outbound shipments leave on time
- Address operational issues in real time
- Maintain strong communication with sales and leadership
- Drive daily communications with Operations Leadership, utilizing daily stop light meeting and continued communication as needed.
- Lead by example in work ethic, accountability, and customer focus
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment
- Conduct routine safety inspections and team safety meetings
- Ensure zero recordable injuries and compliance violations
Work Environment
- Collaborative, Multitask Atmosphere- Environment requires clear communication, teamwork, and the ability to shift between tasks as priorities change.
- Extended periods of standing or sitting (up to 8+ hours) while performing supervisory and operational tasks.
- Fast‑paced, high‑volume environment requires regular movement throughout the facility.
- Variable temperatures, including hot or cold conditions depending on season and warehouse operations.
- Frequent exposure to warehouse noise, machinery, forklifts, and routine material‑handling activities.
- Regular lifting, bending, reaching, and walking, consistent with leading daily warehouse functions.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, such as safety shoes, vests, gloves, or hearing protection.
- Occasional overtime, weekend, or holiday work based on operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or College Credits in related field(s) a plus).
- 2+ years of electrical supply, distribution, or warehousing. (leadership role is a plus)
- Electrical/ Construction knowledge
- Ability to work well with others
- Good communication and Leadership skills
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-player attitude.
- Valid driver’s license/good driving record
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds independently
- Ability to exhibit strong organization and time management skills
